The Pink Panda Auto Injector
This is a device I designed to assist with my intramuscular injections. I had a lot of trouble performing injections due to hand tremors, but since I started using this auto-injector I have had almost no trouble at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get the STL files?
The best place to find up-to-date STL files is on on my Gitlab. I have a project page for it on Printables but since there's no easy way to bulk update an existing project, it's often out of date.
Can I buy one from you? -
Yes! I have created a request form which you can find at the link below. Make sure to fill out at least one of the contact fields.
I do this as a hobby and to help the trans community, so all I ask is that you cover the cost of shipping, plus whatever you think is fair.
Within the US, the cost of shipping is $9.55 for a flat-rate box, and that's enough room for two, maybe three injectors.
I do have a full-time job, though, and my free time is limited, so if there is a lot of demand it may take a while.
Does it require a specific syringe?I have tested it with the following 3 syringes:
-
Global Easy Glide 1mL
[Amazon Link]
-
Easy Touch 1mL
[Amazon Link]
-
BD 1mL
I recommend the Easy Glide or Easy Touch. Both of those are similar enough to fit in the same injector. The BD syringes require a wider injector, and they're more expensive to boot.

I have a different syringe. Will it fit?
I should be able to adapt it to fit any Luer Lock syringe.
I would need precise measurements of the dimensions, prefereably using a digital caliper. If you can get me those measurements, or send me one to measure myself, then I can probably make it work.
-
Will Luer Slip syringes work?
Unfortunately, no. The release lever needs to be able to reliably hold the syringe up, and Luer Slip syringes don't have the wider ring around the bottom.
-
What needles are compatible?
Most Luer Lock needles should be compatible as long as they aren't longer than 1 inch (25 mm). Longer needles would require a design change to be able to fit.
Safety needles which have a mechanism that auto-covers the needle likely won't be compatible because there just isn't enough space in the injector for it.
-
Do I have to use the plunger puller?
No, you can push the plunger yourself if you want. I only recently created the plunger puller because my tremors were causing the needle to shake, and I wanted a way to push the plunger without transferring those tremors.
-
Can I use it for subcutaneous injections?
I am currently working on a design which will hold the needle at 45°, but it's not finished yet. Contact me and we can work out the details.
-
How do I use it?
I have an online manual here, which is a work in progress. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Are there other colors available?
Yes, I print them on demand, so I can print most of the parts in whatever color you want. You can choose one "main" color and two "accent" colors:
